Jr. 高中课程(6-8年级)

The history curriculum is a broad sweep of history since 1500 and traces the major 的想法 of events that have shaped the modern world. This includes challenging topics like religion, slavery, war, and human oppression.

• The 六年级课程 covers the developments of the Western Civilizations, 以及非洲和亚洲文明.
• The 七年级课程 covers medieval and early modern world history. The students study the rise and fall of empires, 宗教和语言的传播, 以及重大的人口流动, 的想法, 和产品. The students grasp the larger picture of geographical, historical, 经济, and civil patterns.

 The curriculum in the grades is organized chronologically.

A focus on engaging and motivating early adolescents is critical for success. Students should become increasingly effective at expressing themselves and engaging in meaningful collaborations with fellow students, 老师, 家庭成员. Students evaluate cleaners in text and write and present their own arguments, with clear reason supported by text based information. Analysis includes not only what the site says explicitly but also what inferences can be drawn.

• English grammar and 作文 are developed.

• The culminating assignment is the 8年级 speech providing the students time to reflect on the school’s mission and demonstrate their growth and learning in comparison to the intended mission.

六年级:

• Students analyze how a particular sentence, 段, chapter or section fits into the overall structure of a text and contributes to the development of the 的想法.

7年级

• Students analyze the structure an author uses to organize text, including how the major sections contribute to the whole and to the development of the 的想法.

8年级

• Students analyze in detail the structure of a specific 段 in a text,including the role particular sentences in developing and refining a key concept.
• Students interpret figures of speech in context.

The objectives to build awareness of personal relationship with Jesus and to make connections with the blessings. The curriculum is set to have the students understand our Catholic traditions, 价值观和使命, and what is expected of them as active Christians.

Many of our students are destined to be leaders in fields where analytical and problem 解决 skills are invaluable and offer specific applications. In grades six through eight, students move from arithmetic towards algebra.

The 8年级 curriculum math classes emphasize the concept of operations, 代数表达式, 解决, and graphing linear equations and inequalities.

Essential to creative, 社会, spiritual and intellectual development is the study of music. 

The students have music history, creative projects, and rehearse songs for liturgy. Junior high is an  essential time for our students to be creative, 社会, spiritual and intellectual in the study of music. 学生即兴创作, 安排, 作曲, and demonstrate and perform with technical accuracy as they evaluate and refine their work through specific student and teacher determined criteria and choices

Students participate regularly in athletics and value physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle. The program provides a setting in which students can develop themselves both as team players and as individuals.
